Singer/Songwriter and Early Childhood Music Educator Brett Rothenhaus got his start in the world of kids’ music as one of the original teachers and lead performers for Little Maestros, which has been hailed by the New York Times and the New York Post as “New York City’s premier infant and toddler music program.”

After five years with Little Maestros teaching more than 4,500 classes and performing at over 400 birthday parties, Brett struck out on his own, leading his own private infant and toddler music classes throughout the tri-state area for children 5 and under. Brett’s experience as an Early Childhood Education Music Specialist has given him the knowledge and instincts to lead extremely successful music classes and parties. He has earned a devoted following of kids and parents and performs at well over a hundred birthday parties and kids’ events annually.

Brett’s debut album of original kids’ music, “Brett Band for Kids,” is available now and is filled with wonderful, catchy, upbeat, energetic songs that capture the genuine spirit and enthusiasm with which Brett has been connecting with kids and families for 7 years. Brett wrote all of the music and lyrics for the album, and performs the entire recording, including all vocals, guitars, and percussion!

Brett has performed and taught in many of the most well-known and reputable kids’ venues in New York City, including Apple Seeds, Citibabes, Kidville, NY Kids Club, and the JCC of Manhattan. Additionally, he has performed at birthday parties in venues such as Reebok Sports Club, The Harmony Club, Sports Club LA, and the Puck Building. While with Little Maestros, Brett performed in sold-out shows on Broadway at the Nokia Theatre, as well as at the Danny Kaye Playhouse.

Brett hopes to continue to write, record, and perform kids’ music for many years to come. In his free time, Brett enjoys roadtrips through Vermont, floating in the Caribbean Sea, NBA basketball, and shooting hoops. In addition to playing his guitar and singing to kids, Brett is also an accomplished drummer who enjoys playing gigs around town with various local bands and artists.
